Single Pack Alkyd Coach Enamel

Product features

This product is a superior coach enamel with excellent flow characteristics and is particularly suitable for brush application but can be sprayed. It has excellent gloss and colour stability, a superb appearance and durability.

Surface preparation

All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from all contaminants.
Normally applied over primer or undercoat.

Application

Mixing: Ensure product is stirred thoroughly before use.

Application methods:
Brush: ready for use.
Conventional spray (cold): Thin 10-15% with TN07.
Hot spray maximum: 70° Celcius, 158° Fahrenheit, Add thinner TN07 as required.

Thinning solvent: TN07

Curing/drying:
Touch dry: 4 hours 2 hours 1 hours
Hard dry: 12 hours 6 hours 3 hours
Overcoat time: 16 hours 16 hours 16 hours

Note: All information relates to typical dry film thickness.
Overcoating information: As above.

High sheen undercoat

Recommended use:
High opacity brush or spray applied undercoat for use with Tekaloid SE and other single pack coach enamels

Brush: ready for use (thin with TN07 if required)
Conventional spray - Thin 10% (35 secs BSB4) TN07.
Hot spray - ready for use (maximum 70° Celsius, 158° Fahrenheit)

Tekaloid elastic oil primer BC14

Slight sheen, long oil alkyd multi surface primer

Features and uses:
This product is formulated using a traditional long oil alkyd resin which has excellent adhesion properties along with the flexibility required when used on a range of different surfaces. It is designed for use on new steel, GRP, factory applied finishes and timber after suitable preparation.

Tekaloid oil filler grey BC15 K93

Modified alkyd and selected pigment

Features and uses:
This product is a brushing filler for small imperfections. It is based on a fast drying, modified alkyd with good sanding and filling properties. It is designed to be applied either in a single of multiple coat. It can be sanded down and re-coated after 4 hours. It is designed to be top coated with a wide range of single component finishes and undercoats but is specifically designed for the Tekaloid range of coach finishes.

Additional information: Apply in successive layers either wet-on-wet to a maximum of 80 microns, dry film, or allow to harden and re-coat as required with other coats if necessary.

Tekaloid Red Oxide BA74 R01

Medium oil alkyd


Usage:
Protective primer for use on bare metal, Cast iron and steel.
Aluminium requires etch priming prior to application.

Application

Brush, roller, Conventional spray airless equipment.

Drying time: Touch dry 1 hour at 18°C, 63°F
Re-coat in 2 hours.

Features and uses

This product is based on high quality resin and finely dispersed aluminium metal flakes.It exhibits a high degree of reflectance and metallic lustre. It is designed for use on interior and exterior situations which require a long lasting aluminium finish

Brush, roller, Conventional spray airless equipment.

Drying time: Touch dry 1 hour at 18°C, 63°F
Re-coat in 2 hours.

Tekaloid Varnish BG 18 000

Extra pale body varnish

Features and uses:

This product is a superior coach varnish with excellent flow characteristics and is particularly suitable for brush application but can be sprayed. It has excellent gloss and colour stability, a superb appearance and durability. It is designed as a finishing varnish for Tekaloid SE gloss.

Brush ready for use under normal conditions (thinner TNO7)

Air spray (cold) 10-15% (thinner TNO3) to 35-40 secs Ford 4 cup or 35-40 secs BS B4 cup.

Hot spray 70°C thinner TNO7 if required (avoid overheating)

Drying

Touch dry: 4 hours 2 hours 1 hours
Hard dry: 12 hours 6 hours 3 hours
Overcoat time: 16 hours 16 hours 16 hours
